The lively atmosphere was a perfect match for our Stag do, with clean and comfortable beds waiting for us after a day of exploring the historic Kilkenny Castle, just a short 10-minute walk away. One highlight was the on-site bar and restaurant; we indulged in some delicious meals, including a surprisingly delightful pasta carbonara that kept us fueled for our escapades. The ambiance was relaxed and welcoming, making it easy to unwind after a busy day. Plus, the friendly staff-shoutout to Arif-made sure our experience was seamless, offering great service and local recommendations. While the hostel does come with the usual quirks-like shared bathrooms and a slight challenge accessing the top bunks-I found the communal aspect charming, especially since we were all friends. And anyone looking for light socializing will surely appreciate the lively vibe along with the classic Irish music on the weekends. For budget-conscious travelers, it's an incredible deal; you get a central location, a safe environment, and the chance to connect with fellow travelers. Lanigan's Hostel delivers that perfect mix of comfort and creativity-highly recommended for anyone wanting to soak up the heart and soul of Kilkenny!
